Good Morning All!
Hope you enjoyed your Mother’s Day weekend! Thank you, Thank you for all the goodies and gifts we received last week. We feel extremely appreciated;)
This week we’ll be exploring Bugs, flying and crawling. Bees, lady bugs, beetles, lighting bugs, ants & grasshoppers to name a few. We’ll talk about which ones are friendly and which ones to avoid! If you have anything to share pertaining to this theme, please do. Enjoy your week!

Cinco de Kids Kondo was super FUN! We ate a Mexican style lunch and snagged some goodies from a pinata… fun was had by all!
Next week we’re going to celebrate our MOMS and show our school spirit!
Mon – Wear your favorite hat or silly hair style
Tues – Wear mix matched clothes – its tacky day
Wed – Wear your clothes backwards or wear stripes
Thurs – Wear your pajamas to school
Fri – Wear your blue jeans

Next week is Caterpillar to Butterfly. Eric Carle’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a great way to introduce this theme. We’ll explore his changes and habits, taste test some foods, (the ones with out sugar) and create beautiful art. In addition to this theme, Friday we’ll celebrate Cinco de Mayo. We’ve got a special lunch planned and of course music.

Hello Parents,
Holy snikes it’s Friday! So many Earth Day activities, twas fun;)
The Week of the Young Child is a nationally recognized event. The purpose of WOYC is to highlight the needs of children, families, and early learning programs. We love to participate in this celebration. We have a full week of exciting activities using the “all about me” sub theme. Friday we’ll enjoy a party and puppet show. Please see curriculum sheets for the deets.
A gazillon thank yous to the parents who labored and donated plants this week. We appreciate you. Our yard is lovely!
AND.. The YARD SALE is coming up! See Ms. Jo if you have donations or to participate as a seller. The sale is May 5, 8-12. Have a great weekend ya’ll.

Hip Hop.. Ribbit Ribbit..
Let’s celebrate Our Earth! You’re never to young to learn good habits. We’re going to be cleaning up, recycling old toys, crafting with everyday household items, and planting seeds. We’ll read short stories and sing songs. Wear green and blue all week. Please see scheduled activities in classrooms. Parents you are welcome to help us plant flowers in the front yard from 10-12pm on Friday the 20th. Bring your gloves n shovels.

On to a new theme!…Jumping, Leaping, Frogs! They are so interesting. They come in many different colors, and sizes. Some ribbit, some croak, some have bumpy skin and some have smooth. They completely change from baby to adult. There’s so much to explore! If you have anything about frogs to share please do!

Next week we’re going to explore the world of Baby Animals. They’re so cute and cuddly. Some of the things we’ll go over are, textures, sizes, comparisons, empathy and humor. This theme is packed full of learning experiences. Detailed activites are posted in your child’s classroom.
We’ll end the week with an Easter Egg Hunt. Little friends in the morning and bigger friends (Caterpillars & Butterflies) in the afternoon. Parents, you are not required to attend… we do not have enough eggs for you (insert laugh).
