Today we took advantage of a beautiful sunny afternoon, the Caterpillars had a picnic on the deck and we had a fire drill. I strive to have fire drills on pretty days and we haven’t had many of those lately. You may hear some scary stories about loud sounds and fleeing the building, they are all true.
While I have your attention I want to thank Katie Nichols and all the parents who gave so generously to the teacher appreciation fund/committee, we were all pleasantly surprised with a Valentine lunch and treats!! So awesome!!! If you would like to help in any way contact Katie@k2-productions.com or let Ms Jo know.
In the next few weeks we will be learning about , the President, dental health, Black history and Mardi Gras big topics for little people, we’ll break it all down to developmentally appropriate activities and enjoy the learning!
Save the date 3/3/14 8:30 we will have a special guest come eat green eggs and ham with the children, looking for a volunteer by the way, to wear the cat in the hat costume, of course, free breakfast and all the hugs you can take, let me know if you have the courage and time, about one hour is all…

In an effort to keep you all in the loop, I will be posting information on the website more often. Next week we will be discovering if the Ground Hog saw his shadow and all about the Circus.
Then ‘Love is all around us”, please send in a picture of your family if you’d like to be included in a special Valentine project. We will have a Valentine party for children 2/14/14 @ 4:00. Valentine tip, just write your child’s name on the outside of the valentine card so they can deliver them to friends with ease. Please do not send in sweets for the children, it’s all about the love not the sweets.
In conjunction with Valentines day we will conduct a fund raiser for St Jude Children’s Hospital 2/10/14- 2/14/14, “purchase” a heart, write a special message and post anywhere in the school”. All the funds raised go to the hospital so please help us pass the love onto them!!
