The time has come for some of our friends to move on to new adventures… the end of the summer is right around the corner. We will be saying our goodbyes, and celebrating our friendships. We have cherished every moment with our friends, from hugs, to laughs, to runny noses, to milestones. Honestly this is what we love, your children. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the early years of their lives. We wish you and your families all the happiness in the future! xo.
Ok phew.. gettin all emotional.. Here’s the plan: On Friday July 30th we’ll have a Luau @ 3:30. There will be a presentation from the Butterfly class, along with refreshments. You are welcome to bring snacks or fruit, but Please no sweets. We’ve got it covered. Sign up sheet on the butterfly door.

Star gazing during camping week lead us to our new theme, “Look @ all those Stars!”
Space is an abstract theme, especially when children are becoming more aware of themselves. We’ll introduce this by using images, colors, games, songs, and, make a “spaceship” out of a box. We’re having so much fun learning! I’m looking for motorcycle helmets & gloves if you’d like to share. Thanks!

Exploring what’s in the ocean sparked lots of interest last week! Hope you heard all about it this past weekend.
Switching gears, this weeks theme is “Wish upon a star/Fairy tales”. If you have props to share, such as crowns, capes, prom dresses, bow ties, stuffed animals, puppets or anything related to this theme, we’d love to use them. Great job on keeping up with splish splash day!

From the Beach to Under the sea.. there’s a commotion in the ocean! We’ve had a great couple of weeks. We’ll continue from the land to the sea exploring marine life. Please notice all the arts and crafts in the classrooms and good job parents for keeping up with swim days!
Here are a few things to do @ home:
Edible Aquariums
Pour blue jello into clear plastic cups, refrigerate. Give each child an aquarium, along with gummy ocean animals(sharks, fish, etc;). Let each child put their gummy friends into the blue ocean with a spoon and eat!
Bubble Fish
Cut out large angelfish shapes from white paper. In small containers add bubble solution with a small bit of food coloring, red, yellow, green, and blue. Have the children blow these colored bubbles onto the fish. Makes beautiful tropical fish.
